This vehicle came to us in a fairly sorry state. We undertook a full restoration for our client beginning with the replacement of pretty much the entire bottom 18 inches of the van all round, chassis rails, outriggers, floor sections sills, arches and so on before baremetalling the van, prepping and giving it a full respray.
The van received a complete mechanical and electrical overhaul replacing everything; brakes, steering and suspension components, wiring loom, electrical components, as well as external trim pieces, door and window mechanisms.
The engine was rebuilt, tinware powder coated and the poptop overhauled and renovated.
The result is an impressive, better than new camper with a striking presence.
Coming Soon - Another Porsche Splitty
One just isn't enough and anyway we like a nice pair at Precious Metal ;) In the works at the moment is a second Porsche Engined Split project, this time a 1966 right hand drive panel van. Its currently being prepped for paint after extensive metal work. Check back soon for updates....
